Show Choir's Singing and Musicality Workshop - Sunday 11th OctoberÂ
Hurrah, here it is - it's what you've been asking for! A fun workshop to help you with singing technique making singing in choir even more fabulous!
Picture this - You hear 2 different people singing the same song. Itâs one of your favourite songs, they are both in tune, and they both know the song - so why is one performance a bit boring, and the other engaging?Â
Youâll find out why at our Workshop!!
âŚAnd youâll learn how to be the engaging singer!!đÂ
Itâs all about exploring techniques that will give you more confidence when you are singing, which in turn makes singing even more enjoyable!! Â You will learn how to apply those techniques to help you âperformâ a song, not just sing the right notes in the right order! (although that does help!!)
Whoâs it for?
Itâs for everyone! If youâve never had a singing lesson before, you'll enjoy learning lots about your voice and how to use it! If youâve had lessons in the past, it will remind you of what you have learned, (we all forget!!), and you will definitely come away with a few techniques that you didnât know!!đÂ

After the resounding success of our last âMy Fair Ladyâ workshop with Joseph, I have been lucky enough to have found a date in his very busy touring schedule so he can come and work with us again!Â
This time we are going to dive a bit more into technique, to give you the vocal skills to help you use your voice effectively. Youâll work on timing, phrasing, dynamics, tone and support, which will help you to deliver a song with skill and confidence! (And with a few laughs along the way!đ)
All this will help you to take your enjoyment and performance to the next level!Â
What will Happen on the Day
12-1.50pm. Warm Up then, Exploring the Voice and Vocal Technique. Youâll have fun finding out how to improve your voice in a safe environment. Weâll also record you all singing the songs weâll be working on.đ¤
- Break 20 mins -
2.10pm- 3pm. Gents & Ladies separate and work on each song. Itâs a chance to consolidate and hone the skills learned bearing in mind your specific voice types.
3pm - All back together for a âMasterclassâ-style performance of your songs!! Youâll be able to compare your performances with the ones earlier in the day.
3.40 - Q&AÂ - Your chance to ask anything about singing!Â
Details:
When: Sunday 11th October 12pm - 4pm (including a quick breakâď¸)Â
Where: TBC but probably Leatherhead or Cobham.
Parking: If Leatherhead, there's a carpark opposite the theatre and parking is free on Sundays, and if Cobham, there is a carpark at the venue.
Cost: Just ÂŁ48 (places are limited)
âď¸We will provide tea, coffee and biscuits (Gluten and Dairy-frees will be catered for!!).
