Show Choir's West End Singing Workshop - Sunday 27th July
Hurrah, here it is! Show Choir’s fabulous exclusive West End Workshop!
'Sit Down You're Rocking the Boat!'⛴️
🌟This is your chance to work with a West End pro and add a sprinkling of musical theatre stardust to the end of our summer term!!🤩
You'll work on technique, harmony, acting through song and performance.
Our fabulous West End workshop this year will be taught by Ellie, who is not only a West End Musical Director, but a performer and coach too! She's been Musical Director for Six, worked with top West End singers, and has played for the amazing Lea Salonga at the Royal Albert Hall!
We’ve been lucky to get her, as she’ll have an insight into all aspects of working with the best West End singers, and as a professional musician!
The days workshop will include:
- Warm ups, singing exercises and tips on musical theatre technique
- Learning the scene for 'Sit Down You're Rockin the Boat' from Guys and Dolls and how to perform it!
- How to use your voice, face and gestures to ‘tell the story’ effectively
- Performing the song at the end of the session!
It’s open to all of you who would like the experience of being a West End Chorus member for an afternoon and having a lot of fun along the way!
Last years workshop was brilliant, but too short - we all wanted more! So we have a day to really get into the music this time!
Details:
When: Sunday 27th July 11am - 5pm (including 2 breaks for a quick lunch and coffee/tea)
Where: The Mezz Bar, The Leatherhead Theatre, 7 Church Street, KT22 8DN
Parking: There's a car park opposite the theatre and parking is free on Sundays!
Cost: £60 (places are limited)
We will provide tea, coffee and biscuits (Gluten and Dairy-frees will be catered for!!). There is a Waitrose opposite the theatre if you want a light lunch, and some lovely coffee shops!
